Chainlink

Known for its strength and resilience, chain-link is perhaps the most economical type of fencing available. FenceCrafters lets you choose from a wide range of residential and commercial styles, including vinyl coated “colored” fabric and powder coated “colored” pipe and fittings. Choosing the right style and color for your needs will enhance your landscaping with a fence that blends naturally with trees and shrubs. For privacy, consider using vinyl inserts which we have available in a variety of colors.

Ranch

FenceCrafters uses either treated wood posts or metal t-posts for all of our ranch fence systems. From barb or barb-less wire, to field fence or non-climb fence, FenceCrafters does it all. We install our systems to Montana Department of Transportation specifications. No matter the animal, FenceCrafters has a ranch fence that will keep it in and keep it protected.

We specialize in the difficult terrain installations that are needed in our part of the country. Our technique and designs allow us to follow the grade of the ground continuously, preventing the “stair-step” disjointed look of the typical panel fence system.

Ornamental

With the durability of chain link and the ornate beauty of vinyl, FenceCrafters’ unique ornamental metal fencing does it all. We have a system that is perfect for the challenging terrain in our area. The “Montage All-Terrain Fence” will follow any slope up to 30” in 8’. This fencing also has a 20 year warranty and comes in 3 different colors: black, bronze and sandstone. We also have many different styles and grades available from light residential to heavy commercial.

Cedar

Gone are the days of worrying about your wooden fence holding up to the elements. FenceCrafters uses the innovative steel “Postmaster” fence posts in all of our standard privacy cedar fence systems. This post combines the strength and durability of steel with the aesthetically pleasing look of wood. The superior performance and availability of FenceCrafters’ wood fencing materials gives the customer a wide variety of design options.

Rail

Defining your property’s boundaries can be done in many ways with FenceCrafters rail fence systems. FenceCrafters uses four different types of material to satisfy our customer’s needs. For those interested in aesthetically pleasing boundaries, vinyl is the best option. In the residential setting cedar split-rail can give a rustic look to your property line. On the ranch or out in the country dowel rail fencing, treated or untreated, provides the perfect type of fencing to blend in with the surroundings. We also offer a wooden post and half-round rail fence for added strength and security. With all of these styles wire fence can be added to keep animals in or out.

Our History

FenceCrafters is locally owned and operated, with offices in Helena and Missoula. We are proud to be a family business that has been serving Montana and neighboring states for more than two decades. FenceCrafters is a full-service fence company. We take pride in our attention to detail from the preparation of the bid to the installation. We will be happy to meet with you to discuss your fencing options and give you a written estimate free of charge. We accept all major credit cards. You can trust FenceCrafters for all of your fencing needs!

Membership: FenceCrafters is licensed and insured. We are members of the Montana Contractors Association, the American Fence Association (AFA) and the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB). FenceCrafters is proud to be involved with our local communities as members of the Chamber of Commerce and sponsors of: Helena Babe Ruth Baseball, American Legion Baseball, Missoula Mount Jumbo Little League, and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

John Keintz grew up in Eastern South Dakota. In 1973, he and his wife, Judy, moved west to Helena, Montana. John entered the fencing business in 1980 as a contract installer of chain link fence. In 1989, the Keintz family opened FenceCrafters in Helena. The company grew steadily into a full-service fencing operation, doing business throughout the state of Montana as well as neighboring states. In 2003, they expanded by establishing an office in Missoula, MT to better serve the western part of the state. The Keintz family business has grown to employing a workforce of 15 to 20 employees. Based in both Helena and Missoula, they offer a complete line of residential and commercial fencing options in the entire state of Montana, plus the Dakotas, Wyoming, Idaho and Washington.
